JUNIOR COACHING PROGRAMME
Hoop Club Kapiti has developed an excellent Junior Basketball Programme on the Kapiti Coast under the direction and guidance of Head Coach Angelo Robinson.

The programme will have been running for 30 years in 2026 and caters to young ones from the age of 5 through to 17.
The main emphasis is on grass roots development, "Back to Basics" and allowing all players from any background, ability or culture, the chance to participate in the game and the programme.
A core focus with the children & young adults in this programme is also the teaching and learning of "Life Skills".
Session Times & Age Groups
5 to 7yr olds:
9.30 to 10.30am

8 to 10yr olds:
10.30 to 11.30am
​
11 to 17yr olds:
11.30 to 12.30pm
​
All sessions take place Sundays during school terms at Paraparaumu College Community Sportshall, Mazengarb Road.​
Term Dates for Junior Coaching Programme 2026:
Term 1 - Sunday 15 February to Sunday 29 March
Term 2 - Sunday 3 May to Sunday 28 June
Term 3 - Sunday 26 July to Sunday 20 September
Term 4 - Sunday 18 October to Sunday 7 December
Cost:
$70 per term for 1 child
2 children from the same family $105
3 children from the same family $130
4 children from the same family $140
Casual rate $15.00 per session
